How important is it to you to be an effective parent?
If you are like me, you take your role as a parent very seriously.
In fact, you consider it your most important priority.
You want to be the best of the best.
You don’t even consider settling for less.
That’s why when life with your teen is filled with tension and conflict, you are frustrated and exhausted.
You ask yourself what you are doing wrong.
You think you should intuitively know how to be the best parent.
That it shouldn’t require any time, education, or help.
It’s interesting that you don’t hesitate to hire a coach, tutor, or trainer to optimize some aspect of your life or your teen’s life.
Yet when it comes to parenting, you don’t invest to become the best parent possible.
You take a DIY approach and hope it works.
This was my thinking until 2016.
And then I decided it was time to invest my time, money, and energy and get help
And you know what?
Conflict started to ease, and conversations became productive.
I started to create the calm, meaningful relationship I desired simply and quickly.
Less worry. More trust.
Of course I am human, and still a work in progress.
But I realized there is a reason that people who are the best at what they do have a coach.
And why would you settle for less than the best?
