Try this impactful exercise.

When you are angry, frustrated, or worried about your teen and want to stop, try this.

Close your eyes.

No really. Do it.

Think of a happy experience you shared with your teen.

Imagine yourself back in that moment.

Are you smiling?

Notice the feeling that comes up in your body.

Tenderness, compassion, love?

Feels pretty good, doesn’t it?

This is the power of mindfulness.

This is the power of learning how to control your energy.

When you shift your energy from anger or worry to tenderness or compassion, your teen can sense it.

And their energy will follow yours.

It’s the law of attraction: energy attracts like energy.

This is one of the skills we work on together in life coaching.

Imagine you talk to your teen, and the conversation goes smoothly.

No anger. No guilt.

Instead, grounded. A quiet confidence.

And your teen heads in a positive direction.

I help parents just like you feel close to their teens.

Let’s get started.
