You can feel better tomorrow
Do you notice when you feel disappointed?
I was disappointed today, so I did a coaching practice that flushed it out.
In full transparency, this was super uncomfortable.
It takes work to process yucky feelings.
It’s easier to sweep them under the rug.
But coaching has given me the gift of feeling my emotions.
And it has taught me how to release them.
If you feel guilty for yelling at your teen, or
Worried about their well-being or
Disappointed that they aren’t doing their best, or
Angry that they are being disrespectful, or
Frustrated that they are lying,
Give yourself the gift of learning how to process these draining emotions.
If this sounds awful, I get it.
But don’t just ignore your feelings and soldier on.
Don’t just tolerate living with the energy drained out of you.
I wish I’d had this tool when my kids were teenagers.
I can teach you how to do this today.
So that tomorrow, you feel better.
And your emotions don’t leak into your energy.
And your parenting, too.
