You found a vape pen in your teen’s backpack. Now what?

You open your teen’s backpack and see a vape pen.

Your thoughts start spinning:

Shit. Shit. Shit.

What is going on?

Why is this in their backpack?

They’re sneaking around. Lying to me.

You go from panicked to angry in less than 3 seconds.

You either can’t resist the urge to confront them right away or,

You throw it out thinking, that will teach them!

Either choice results in conflict.

Your teen screams.

“Why are you going through my backpack?”

“You can’t do that!”

You want to have a conversation.

You want them to share what’s going on.

But your approach doesn’t work.

When you discover your child is participating in risky behaviors, it’s only natural for your nervous system to kick into overdrive.

You’re scared, anxious, and fearful of what might happen.

Listen, it’s impossible to have a productive conversation when you are in this state.

If you want them to share with you what’s really going on and stop vaping, you have to first settle your nervous system

This is exactly what we work on when we coach together.

After you settle your nervous system, I teach you how to have a conversation so they will tell you why they have the pen and listen to what you have to say.

No more yelling.

No more lying.

No more massive wedge between you.

Book a complimentary call and I will explain exactly why your parenting approach isn’t working and what you need to do instead.

This information is liquid gold.

Don’t miss out.

I’ll talk to you soon.
