Are You Feeding Your Brain Junk Food?

Your thoughts and happiness.jpg

You are probably aware of how much candy, fast food, and wine you put into your body, but have you ever considered what kind of thoughts you are feeding your brain?

Are you feeding your brain powerful thoughts like, “I can create any life that I want”? Or are you drowning in negative thoughts such as, “It’s too hard to lose weight,” “What if my child is depressed?” or “I will never be able to run my own company.” These types of negative thoughts feed your brain worry, fear, and self-doubt.

The stories playing in your head can be coming from your childhood or any of your past life experiences. This is perfectly normal and something we all do as human beings.

However, many people are not aware that you have the power to change these uninvestigated thoughts and beliefs. You can harness the power of neuroplasticity—your brain’s ability to restructure itself.

Now imagine you were 100% satisfied with your relationships, your work/life balance, your finances, and your health. What would you be thinking to create that type of life?

When I started getting my brain coached, I quickly realized that this is the most valuable investment I will ever make. Learning that the perceptions and beliefs that I held about myself and the world around me are manifested in my thoughts, feelings, and actions in my everyday life was a real “Aha!” moment. Why aren’t these concepts and techniques taught in schools to help raise everyone’s happiness?

By questioning the validity of my thoughts and whether they were serving me, I was able to reframe frustrating situations into opportunities. Shifting my mindset in those moments helped me to build healthier relationships with my husband, my children, and myself. I realized that I have the power to change the story that’s playing in my mind.

Although I picked up a few tools and strategies along the way in my life, the ability to manage and process my stress and reframe my thoughts to see all the amazing opportunities that exist is what my coach helped me do.

Get those disempowering and draining thoughts out of your head so you can live from your heart, creating the life you always imagined. Reframing your thoughts is a game-changer for your happiness and everyone whose lives you touch. It will enable you to make smart, calm, and empowered choices about your career, your relationships, and your health.

This is what hiring a great life coach is all about. This is what we will partner on.
