10 Insights to Make Your Next Chapter Exceptional
Do you walk through life watching it happen to you or do you have control over your journey? Who holds the reins in your life? Sometimes we arrive at one of life’s crossroads and have to make tough decisions. It can take courage, vulnerability, and bravery to stand up for yourself, admit you deserve better, or make an unpopular choice.
In Oprah’s interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, it was clear they stood up for themselves, identified the life they wanted for their family, and took action.
Even when presented with difficult choices that may disappoint others, you can create the life you want by following these 10 basic principles:
Awareness: Notice what is influencing you and how you are reacting to your circumstances. What are you thinking and how are you feeling? Don’t judge it.
Acceptance: Accept yourself, others, and the world around you without judgment. Look for the opportunity that comes with your current circumstances.
Choice: You always have the power to choose to live life on your terms. Choose based on purpose and not based on fear and life will feel easier.
Trust the Journey: When you live your life in alignment with your core values and have faith that whatever happens will work out, you will feel calmness and peace.
Authenticity: Connect with who you are at your core and express yourself. Disregard the noise of others telling you who you should be or judging you.
Fearlessness: Don’t let fear paralyze you from living the life you desire. Be courageous and ask for the help you need.
Confidence: Look at life as an opportunity to learn and grow. Take small steps toward what you want. As your momentum builds, your confidence muscle will grow. Know that whatever comes your way, you will figure it out.
Connection: We are all connected regardless of race, religion, identity, or belief. Lead with compassion. By shifting from a “you versus me” perspective to one of synergy, you will generate wisdom and fulfillment.
Presence in the Moment: Now is all there ever is—the past is gone and the future is to come. Detach from any outcome you have in mind and fully experience the present moment.
100% Energetically Engaged: Know what you want and live your life with intention. Choose how you look at something, how you feel about it, and what actions you take. Make a true commitment to living your life to the fullest.
By living your life with these 10 disciplines, you will be the visionary and creator of your life, experiencing limitless love and joy.
“Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it’s the quiet voice at the end of the day whispering, ‘I will try again tomorrow’.”
